Interesting fuel shut-off valve.I only bought it because it was the right price and a couple of miles away, probably going to be a couple of years before I get round to restoring it.

Lovely little dial guage....way better than I needed but I wanted to stay away from the usual eBay rubbish. Seem quality little gauge...it's funny how you can really feel when things are made well.

Its really a lot better than I need....am only doing the runout on the volvo front discs but I decided why not get something thats not the usual ebay junk. As I get older I just like using stuff thats made well....you know the sort of stuff that doesn't tear chunks out of your fingers or just fall to bits on the first job.Smile Dial. They are actually not bad at all.

Found it on ebay for £19 inc postage...was a little more than I wanted to pay but it looked like new. When it arrived...it is new...clearly never been used I think....it says 0.1mm.How spendy?

If you said that cost 20 quid I'd believe you and if you said it cost 500 quid I'd still believe you. Put that out at a car boot sale for 20 quid and someone would pick it up, put it in a posh antique shop and someone will snap it up for 500. The funny thing is the person who will happily give 500 in a posh shop for it would scoff at it if it was only 20 quid.View attachment 355538
I didn’t acquire but my mate came home to this and sent me the above.
I thought it may amuse the collective

A tin whistle? We went a walk round the charity shops yesterday and I picked up a High D whistle for £1.25. I cleaned it up and sterilised it and spotted some writing, Dixon so I googled it and they are £38
