It's a Scheppach PL55. I've taken the stator out and it's missing one of the plastic shields that stop the rotor touching the stator windings. It looks like this:

I've found (between dozens of PL55):

"PL55 1.20kW 230V/50Hz - scheppach special-UK Artikel-Nr. 5901802905"​

The Label should look something like this

For the spare parts list the differentiate between SN: 0132-xxxxx and SN: 0278-xxxxx

- in which bracket is yours?

Well earlier in the week

couple of faky M12 batteries and some gearwrench ratchets is was cheaper to buy the set than the two I wanted
the 1/4 Dr will be going in the for sale as I've already got the 90T version .

The article number is 5901802915 and 0159 40124 It's item 12 on the parts diagram I need.

I can't get your numbers together, which could be because I'm on the German site of Scheppach ...

However, it seems that all PL55's - at least all the ones I have randomly checked - have the same stator (the position 12 you identified):
In all cases I compared, it has the spare part number 3901802022 and in all cases - now please be very brave - the price of € 90.05 on the official Scheppach spare parts page.

I found the part number on www.stokker.com for half that but don't know if that's real.

Thanks. I'd like to repair as it might be useful, but I'm not sure it's £90 of useful, especially as I'm tending towards Makita's 18V cordless tools.

You're going to need a longer bolt...

Question: HERE I found the 1919 edition of that book and although some rules haven't changed, a lot of the machines are quite different to later -
do possible updates in your edition justify a purchase?

I would say not, unless you like books over electronic media. Maybe a later version would be more suitable.

I'm looking at a small machine that has this motor on it, obviously a British one.

Since all the British machines I've seen that came here had the motors swapped out for German models,
I don't know: top or turd?

a Sykes picavant thread restorer and a few hacksaw blades, the rods are 2.5-3 mil ish and quite tarnished but clean up ok I presume it's silicone bronze .They were cleaning out the old sheds at shooting ground where I've been grafting and I wasn't going to say no , missed out on a few other bits as they were like hawks as it was coming out

I've a Snap On or Facom thread restorer, useful bits of kit.
