This thing is over 1600 euros and I've got it for 1/10 of it .

I was planning to get a "cheap" 200 euros rebir Morse taper 2 drill (picture above), and build a line boring rig (we never know I might need it )
Happened to find one of those Fein on the bay ,by looking at the auctions (I seriously need to take a break from them) so I've digit "Fein DSK" and appeared this and other ones .
Italian seller ,read the description,eBay buyer protection, offered a lower price than what demanding , accepted and bought .
Little sad it's not a Fein BOS 32-4 (4 gears version) but it's my first Fein

Its bigger brother can do 32mm26mm in steel with a hand drill, f'k that!

I was looking at some parts diagram and BOZ32-4 has safety clutch for sure but this one ....
Well I'm not so sure about.
Looking at the pictures it's hard to believe it has one maybe electronic overload protection but with the amount of torque it delivers I think the arms would be braided prior to catch on .
And that confirms what I was thinking,no safety clutch at all .
It's a drill family usually mounted either on a magnetic base or on a line boring set up.
But on YouTube you can find people using it handheld.
I don't use corded drills to handheld drill trough metal in general.
And i already have a very nice Metabo UHE2660-2 Quick if needed, (it has a doggy safety clutch)
I prefer to use my brushless parkside
Next tool I might buy is a power tapping "drill"
Another tool knew by watching "the post apocalyptic Inventor" on YouTube.
He found and repair several Fein drills

reminds me of one of fathers vintage drills off the top of head i think its a 1/2" chuck black and decker aluminium looking thing, I use to use it before I got a mag drill torque or what painful when you got it wrong

I've gotten fed up working with wonky bits of wood, and I've also been watching far too many Epic Upcycling videos on YouTube, so bought myself one of these.
It's amazing to see scruffy wood transformed in a couple of passes.
Not quite a before and after, but the unplaned and planed sides of a strip of pallet wood.
Photos are a bit rubbish but it is silky smooth. Only done one face, the edges are still all over the place.
And before anyone says anything, I've bought one of these too. It's really impressive at finding snapped off nails under the surface in pallet wood and the like.
Just waiting on a new shed for some elbow room now.

Todays car boot was poor.

A scrap run got me the thick end of £400.
Plus this small lot.

Time to getting off grid.
These Fronius gone short on internal communication line which drained one cell block to nearly 0V.
Get it back to live with some extra voltage from external power supply.
It takes a long time to balance and reconditioning these dead cells.
Now it is on roughly 80 percent cell capacity.

from me for Hiwin, as supplied by WMH Transmissions. A few years ago when designing a special purpose machine requiring a whole load of linear bearings, and our usual supplier/manufacturer being unable to supply in less than a year (despite us buying hundreds of thousands of pounds of them a year for our usual machinery), WMH supplied sample test units, were able to add additional coatings, able to reball units to get higher preload, and rebuild units our US customer forgot to maintain over a couple of years. I'd use 'em again.
And the free canvas bags they give away at trade shows aren't bad either
