Things.
Other things.
I’ve had a few new Eclipse tap handles from reputable suppliers in last few years and all look suspiciously like they are made China or similar, nowhere near the quality they used to be.I'll have to look out for one of those if it's any good. I've got a couple, the most recent one is branded "Eclipse" and is pretty good, but doesn't "fire" all the time. It wasn't until I left the show where I bought it that I recalled that people are faking Eclipse stuff now - my basic scribe was a fake, the point snapped off when it fell off the bench and hit the floor. It works most of the time, but not all of it.
Old handles were Made in England, since then Eclipse shutdown the Sheffield plant and were absorbed by Spear & Jackson group along with many other traditional brands which are now all part of SNH which is a Chinese conglomerate. So the new genuine handles to the same pattern are now made in China.I’ve had a few new Eclipse tap handles from reputable suppliers in last few years and all look suspiciously like they are made China or similar, nowhere near the quality they used to be.
I'd better have a close look at the ones I bought two years ago.now all part of SNH which is a Chinese conglomerate. So the new genuine handles to the same pattern are now made in China.
I'd suggest the "fakes" are probably actually genuine, sadly.

And some proper tyresYesterday I acquired a very clean rust free awd Transit. Engine is stuffed but I sooner sort that than be welding an acre of steel.

That is why the price of bacon has gone up.I've just seen a flock of pigs fly over here.
So does that mean it if lifts one wheel, it slides to a stop with one wheel doing 80 mph . . .Yesterday I acquired a very clean rust free awd Transit. Engine is stuffed but I sooner sort that than be welding an acre of steel.

Or it keeps going but breaks a diff once back on grippy tarmac . . .
Or it’s got some electric bits that worked, once, back when it was still within the boundaries of the factory in Spain/Turkey/wherever the “home of the transit” is these days?
So it will be a Fraud-I ,Ye of little faith, it’s all basic stuff. If it faulters in any way there will be an Audi V6 engine and transaxle living under that bonnet.
Bob
Or a FaurdiSo it will be a Fraud-I ,
It's a router height adjuster for a trim routerWell, it was £2 in the British Heart Foundation charity shop, and they didn't know what it was either - how could I resist? So I acquired it. It's beautifully made, and one of those "leave it for my executors to figure out" items (I have a few of those...)
The four SHCS sticking up press on and close up leaves in the closer-together anodised frames, which start out smaller than the fixed end, nothing slides back and forth...
No, the wine bottle won't fit through...
Damned if I know what it is.
