My second M18 fuel angle grinder from faceplant marketplace with a full box of 50x thin cutting discs for £80.



I have had my other m18 grinder for about 5 years now. When welding cars for MOT I end up changing between flap and cutting discs maybe 20 times a day. This will save some time having flap in one grinder and cutting disc in the other. Also allows for one going down for repair if a bearing wears out. (I had to replace the bearings in my other M18 grinder once before easy DIY job which is why I like these grinders alot)

This will have more power than your previous M18 grinder as I found out and the speed control is always useful

Some linear rails. I wasnt planning to cnc anything but it would be useful if I could cut straight lines on plasma etc.. I do have a suitable ballscrew somewhere. Sadly no space for another machine.

Square footage! Well not really I just took into sorting out the pile of cr%p laying around my garage. I repurposed a couple of carts to hold car parts. Lots more to do but it's a start anyway

I had a second go at this and got more stuff stashed out of the way including a Kompressor engine



Sure the stuff will need wheeled out if I go to remove the car on the lift but its been up there 2 years and counting so doesn't happen very often!

I'll have to buy a 3rd welding trolley now to take up that space that's left.

I use one of those to suck oil through the pipe to the boiler when SWMBO forgets to order heating oil and the pipe fills up with air.

I will make my own custom welding cart later in 2024. One that can take my MIG, TIG & Plasma cutter + 2no bottles + storage. But no time right now so I ordered a cart from R Tech which will take my Mig and plasma just now and get them off the garage floor.

When I do go to build one I will share ideas on here beforehand.

They are all inverter type machines. And 2x 10L bottles would do. I think 30x30 Box section steel frame (40x40 at perimeter and bottles base) with aluminium flooring would do great. The key will be finding nice large strong wheels for it to make it portable over rough concrete in my garages.

It will be made as compact as possible to suit my actual machines.

"Why not?" is the question I always ask myself. Never "Why?". Get some bought.

A second one of these frameless tape-measures:

The first one I bought has become my most used tape measure (and I reach for it more often than the longer steel rulers too). Being curved the other way to most tape measures (high in the middle rather than high at the edges) makes it useful for marking on flat surfaces and it's small enough to live in a pocket all the time. It doesn't have a belt clip (not strictly true, but the clip it comes with is rubbish), but it's small enough not to need one. It also doesn't have a hook on the end like a normal tape measure, but for most of the time I don't need that and when I do, I just grab a normal tape measure.

The only problem with them is they seem to be like rocking horse droppings in the UK (especially the decent metric only ones). They both came from ebay (new) for about a tenner; I'll probably by one or two more if I see them pop up again for a similar price. The Tape Store seems to sell them for £14 (3m) or £11 (2m), but I think there's postage on top of that.
