It's Amazon Prime Day but I've been good mainly because not much Milwaukee gear discounted but Starrett 18C Auto Centre Punch at £20 did get my attention and Mr Amazon Driver has just pushed it through the letter box



I took the dog for a walk at Thornes Park in Wakefield and he said that I've been a good boy and should go to Powertools GB just around the corner or he may have just been barking at a Squirrel. I was impressed with the M12 5Ah High Output battery so decided to get a 2.5Ah one too to see how that performs. Anyway you know how supermarkets put sweets near the tills to tempt you. Well it just so happens tool shops do the same and came out with a new set of pliers and hammers in both 16 and 24 Oz




The dog is bad influence.

Sometimes it’s best not to kick a hornets nest if you are not prepared to be stung . None of us are bigger than the forum,and I think we all sometimes momentarily lose sight of that. The Mods are not ogres,(well, only Woz, but he’s a friendly ogre), I’m sure if you toe the line for a bit your privileges will be reinstated. Yes, the for sale section is a privilege. One that single-handedly gives the Mods more grief than any other section. The other day when you were tossing your toys out your pram because they dared cull an advert of yours that goes against forum policy, it was pretty obvious where it would land you. Sorry Brad, but sometimes it really doesn’t pay to bite the hand that feeds you.

I'm a member of a couple forums with for sale sections, and the one on here seems to cause the mods the most grief, because the mods make it that way.

I've tried listing stuff for sale in the past, which I think would have been of interest to various posters on here, but it got rejected as it wasn't directly workshop related, so I very rarely bother listing anything on here anymore as I can't be doing with the for sale gatekeeping.
The other forums simply restrict sales access to regular contributors, don't moderate what gets listed for sale, have fairly lax rules (key ones being price must be listed, and no bulk business listings - some individual trader listings are tolerated, as along as they don't take the p**s and are regular contributors), but remove access for anybody who regularly break the rules.

No, what’s rubbing it in is the 12m length of it I see every time i go to see a mate of mine. Most inconsiderate of him not to let me shorten his wood store by a meter

My local power tools repair shop, quit repairing power tools.
They'll keep doing windings and similar.
But no power tools anymore.
They gave me all their customers and contacts to get the required parts

It might solve by itself in few days.
People forget things easily and I hope this will be sorted soon.
You're not a bad member and you are active in many sections with good advices.
We all commit mistakes, no one is perfect here.

It’s a woodshed. No cutting grinding or welding anywhere near there. The piece I have will yield two of the three pieces I need. It would be a mammoth undertaking to take it out and replace it with something else.There is probably 60 plus crates of firewood there. Would take over a day to empty it and then you need to find somewhere dry to move it to. It’s not a proposition

OK it's bit white goods but an ebac dehumidifier, been on for about 6 hours and its sucked a litre of water out already! I'm sure it feels a bit warmer as well
