OK it's bit white goods but an ebac dehumidifier, been on for about 6 hours and its sucked a litre of water out already! I'm sure it feels a bit warmer as well

Coming back to this I'm actually shocked how much water it's pulling out

Years ago I was told about a phone app for collecting food that would otherwise be wasted. "Too Good To Go". I didnt look at it until recently. Its also very dependant on your local area. Near me there are a couple of chippies, Subway, and Toby Carvery takeaways. You pay a small fee, 3-6 quid and you get a suprise bag full of food. Often enough for two or more people. Anyway if the collection time suits I recommend it. Chippies seem to chuck out several times a day, carverys do breakfast at 11ish and mains at 9pm and often suits menon the way home.

Also got a pair of these electric finger choppers for £23 each. The plan is to mount one on a long telescopic pole.

However compared to my other ones, the blades and their opening are smaller. Motor sounds different. I think it can be modified. Not opened it up yet.

I think you're correct about it depending on the area - around here I've had a couple of surprise bags, and neither was particularly great. I had one from Subway which was a selection of bread, that seemed good value but since then, I've looked out for it again but they've had nothing available any time I check. Most of the time it's just that it would mean a special journey that negates the saving, or a risk of getting some food I wouldn't know how to deal with, like fresh veg and the like. Your haul looks great, though, I'll have to have another look.

Picked up a Starrett 18A centre punch from Amazon on their prime day deal for a tenner - well free really cos I got work to pay for it

I’ve had a cheap no name Screwfix special for years but it’s nice having something decent. Was going to get the bigger 18c model but this is perfect for the typical stuff I do, mainly electrical panel work.

I have been using " to good to go app " for a while, if my timing is right I have a Toby Carvery aout 4 miles away, If I have the GKs over I can feed the whole lot for £15, well worth it and they enjoy the nosh, its good, topped up with home gravy, nothing gets wasted.

However using it for Lidl was a serious disappointment, on both occasions basically what I got was Snail Food, salad and a lot of it, it seemed to me they were getting rid of salad and very little ordinary food.

It'll continue to do so, probably. My flat & workshop dehumidifiers are left plugged in all the time, (set to 65%, if I recall) & I empty them every few days.

I took the dog for a walk at Thornes Park in Wakefield and he said that I've been a good boy and should go to Powertools GB just around the corner or he may have just been barking at a Squirrel. I was impressed with the M12 5Ah High Output battery so decided to get a 2.5Ah one too to see how that performs. Anyway you know how supermarkets put sweets near the tills to tempt you. Well it just so happens tool shops do the same and came out with a new set of pliers and hammers in both 16 and 24 Oz

After a week doing 7:30AM to 1:30PM back to work after lunch at 2:30PM to 7PM and yesterday doing 7:30AM to 2PM back to work at 3PM to 8PM shifts at the machine shop.
Today has been my really first day off in the last years.
Boss hired an electronic technician to repair our waterjet, but he soon realized it needed a lot of components wouldn't be delivered in time so he attempted to convert our computer controlled milling machine to modern standard CNC.
For the entire week the technician worked along with me and another colleague on the mill.
Brought in all my testing equipment and electrician tools.
Helped a lot with wirings and panel components installation.
But spent the last few days to seek for parts and materials going shopping around during the mornings, still completing my normal tasks in the machine shop and running it on my own on yesterday while working on the mill too because my bosses were out to address important personal stuff.
Useless to say I came back home completely destroyed on yesterday but I'm proud of being able to have done all that.
So today I've spent my entire day sleeping waking up just for eating.
It's the first rest time in a while, I usually get up early and work on my stuff anyway but not today.
I needed it.

A Warco WM18B Mill, was planning on getting one of these sometime next year, and while browsing Warco's site looking at bench grinders, I discovered it was on sale at £1886 instead of £2695, figured I would be a bit of an idiot to miss out on that sort of sale. Had absolutely nowhere to put it, didn't have any plan for moving it around the back into the workshop, didn't even have enough money saved yet but borrowed from Dad and ordered it anyway

Built a ramp down the steps and all the random single steps between the front of the house and my workshop, ordered a sack truck online and then walked into my tiny workshop and said to myself "what the F have I done", proceeded to move 4 welders, rip a light duty bench out and all the storage that was below it. (Which is all that stuff is now in the house for the time being) , and then delivery day yesterday, Sack truck got delivered at 10:45 and the mill got delivered at 11:15, a bit too close for comfort. Took the DRO off, removed the table to cut the weight down somewhat and then proceeded to drag the mill onto the sack truck, blocked it all out and ratchet strapped it to the sack truck and proceeded to move it into my workshop.



The plan for now is to leave it on the floor for a bit until I can get around to building a decent heavy duty steel framed bench, at which point I'll install a chain block above it, hoist it up and build the bench below it, reluctant to do anything too permanent as I'm thinking of doing a containerized workshop sometime next year in which the mill will be getting moved to.

The best part of all of this? I forgot to order the bench grinder.
