yea at a quid each now we know the price
Could get a fortune for that in certain parts of Glasgow, they like Orange thereHave you seen my hall carpet? (That horrid orange thing.) I need more than a quid each. It's all for a good cause. Think of the prettier, more tasteful future photos. You know it makes sense.

One decent mortise gauge and an adjustable thing.
Can any one shed some light on it?

That's how I got it home.
Oh yes it stunk. The inside was coated in some slime.
Well it wasn't until I tried to wash it. Then it did.
No more information on the markings, but I have emailed a few places.
Watch this space.
After a dam good clean and polish.

The brass does not take a shine very well, but I am guessing it is the make up of the brass. That is only to be expcted, due to the age.
I have dressed out most of the dents but not all.
The ones on the drinking edge needed de-burr and polish to take a nasty edge off.
It is water tight.
There for last night we tried it with rum.
It was rum tight.
Then we found out TYA was tight.
My plans for it?
If I can trace to a family or a regiment I will try to return it.

It most certainly is now fitted with a wire wheel and a polishing attachment.

Today in the bad weather I was driving along a A road. Snow was banked up either side.
But I spotted something that was not white, looking sad.
I had to stop, walk back and investigate.
What did I find?
What jewel of a find?
What great item of interest?
Not a tool, nowt to do with engineering at all.
