I have all the old stuff from when i was young and a spare cassette player or two, I did have a plan to record them to mp3 so i can load them as files from my phone in a kind of hi tech low tech way..

Son has been collecting old Britool socket sets since he found an immaculate 1/4 drive 1950's one at a Flea Market for £5!!!
He found this miles away in Cornwall, luckily he was a very nice bloke who had had it 50 odd years, he even parcelled it up and I arranged a carrier, arrived today and lads over the moon, never seen another and its complete bar two easy to find sockets and even has a few extra bits in it.
We think its early 60s as it has the remains of the crackle paint finish and is suffixed "A" after the set number

Thanks thats very kind of you, it is 1/2" drive.
At the moment he is missing 3/8 and 7/16 AF, only just in from school and we are out tonight so he will have a good look over the next few days.
He also has a pure metric set I bought at the 1000 engine rally bloke told us it was from a clearance at Avro aircraft? it is all labeled up Avro though, Its missing quite a bit though but its possibly 70s and a 3/8 set but I can't remember whats in that.
His pride and joy is the as new 1/4 set thats complete and from the 50s, this is a very close second just so lucky to get it, chap had another seven calls after me.

Late 50s/early 60s.
If it's metric/AF/Whitworth/Square then it's identical to my dads one which he got when he was about 21 or 22 (1959 or 1960). There was a waiting list of a year for delivery back then
It's seen some stick but is still in decent nick apart from the 13mm which grenaded while removing a starter motor from a garden tractor.
Dad jokes* about being buried with it!

i have those to play on pc instead by using an emulator to play them on it
I made the mistake of buying one of those from Aldi, it had no power at all & was useless.
I ended up putting it into an auction & got my money back.
Maybe mine was a bad one, I hope your experience is better!
