After you've found a working tape player and waited 37 squillion minutes for the games to load you'll be doing something elseToday i picked up 60 spectrum games, I have my spectrum all ready to go for a retro night in..
I have all the old stuff from when i was young and a spare cassette player or two, I did have a plan to record them to mp3 so i can load them as files from my phone in a kind of hi tech low tech way..After you've found a working tape player and waited 37 squillion minutes for the games to load you'll be doing something else

Thanks thats very kind of you, it is 1/2" drive. That's a cracking set!
Is that 1/2" drive? If so, I inherited a, I believe, 1960's, AF/whit Britool set that has lots of duplicates. Let me know what you are missing, I might have one.
cheap as chips..unless there aldi chipsThis was bought rather than acquired, but for what it cost probably qualifies, see if you can guess before clicking the price,

Late 50s/early 60s.Son has been collecting old Britool socket sets since he found an immaculate 1/4 drive 1950's one at a Flea Market for £5!!!
He found this miles away in Cornwall, luckily he was a very nice bloke who had had it 50 odd years, he even parcelled it up and I arranged a carrier, arrived today and lads over the moon, never seen another and its complete bar two easy to find sockets and even has a few extra bits in it.
We think its early 60s as it has the remains of the crackle paint finish and is suffixed "A" after the set number

Worth a fiver for the sockets imoI made the mistake of buying one of those from Aldi, it had no power at all & was useless. I ended up putting it into an auction & got my money back. Maybe mine was a bad one, I hope your experience is better!
