A tig power source is CC, mig uses CV so that wouldn't work.

if you have a mig you could use as a power source then you could hook it up and try it. if i remember rightly im sure the base unit has the gas solenoid etc and there is a remote cable that links the feed unit to the base along with your welding cables and gas line.

It's not straight forward. These panels have funny can based software that talks to the power source and it all works in harmony. You need a compatible esab power source to make that work.this !
but have never used one so no idea how to test if it works ok ! got a torch i can attach to it but not sure on the rest of the fittings , looks clean inside though !
That's a U6 panel. They are very nice to use.

You'll find one hard to come by as they are not often sold secondhand without feed units. Do u have the interconnections with it. I don't think it will work with any Esab power box as it will need to have the right software for that panel.

I have a ESAB LAH410, which looks a lot older, and it's water cooled too, I doubt it would just plug into it!

Today I had a good skip dive, pulled out this.
The blade is as blunt as a blunt thing on a blunt day.
New blade ordered, cost £7:00.
But further inspection showed the clutch is packed solid with some type of plastic, did not take long to clear out.
But, there should be a "C" clip on that, it is not there, as you can see.
I check "google" showed it is an odd size, so a new one ordered from my local Still agent.
"How much ?" was my reply.
Then I thought, free chain saw, must be worth it.

My mate just got a MAC knuckle head ratchet, about a foot long, brand new as near as I can tell, off ebay, for 99p. They apparently cost £120! I'm actually amazed that the guy sent it!

When I got the new blade and "C" clip the Still dealer checked the Serial Number against their data base.

No idea, he was just lucky that no-one else bid on it. Anyone who would knock that kind of kit off would be unlikely to have the morals to post it off I would have thought...
