Rawplug Hammer. With 2 bits. It works.
I just need to remove the 2 bits from the mandrills and try it out.

The No14 Bradson Automatic advance Hand drill.
My present from Mrs. TYA.
I am planning on clearing bench space and seeing what does need doing needs doing.
It seams to work. Time will tell.

My dad had one, sadly my sister sold it, along with some other tools. I have bean on the look out for one at a good price.

yes for10- years. rawltool for 6mm plugs and star drills for fitting rawlbolts . I still have one

I used to use the bits with a hammer, must have put hundreds of No1 pattress in with them.. yes I think its easier theses days

Looks like it's in good nick.

Amazing what you can chew through with a sharp drill, a bit of cutting oil and plenty of patience

Yeah me too. Was a pain when there was no power available and the hammer and jumper was all I had. Very slow but it did work ok.

Used to bore hole in the rocks for ring bolts, for Salmon net moorings and tying up boats, with the star drill and hammer. Then a petrol drill came our way and life was grand

I remember when I got my first 'portable' drill. It was a massive 12V thing - a bit like the old gut busters. It had a big thick cable with 2 enormous crocodile clips on the end that would put many cheap earth clamps to shame.

Really felt like I'd arrived when I got that!

I remember ‘helping’ a neighbour build his extension and he did all the holes in the brickwork with a star bit and hammer. I remember it looked hard work at the time. He must have got tired of it because he bought one of those for old blue B&D drills - the brickwork was hard so he soon burnt out a few plain shank bits and went back to tap/turn/tap/turn

One of my other "Today I acquired" drills.
My Dad had one, this one is in regular use.
Before the Elf and safety lot go silly.
It is now fully earthed, runs through a trip switch and is fully PAT and electrical tested.

The father had some of those in the shed, i didn't know what they were and chucked them. Not sorry now.
