Coffee mugs are all different sizes.

The welder is from a Mini Figure collection, the lady is from the Desk tidy pencil holder.

Makes a good scale reference, Ill keep my eye out for a welder or workman, Most of my figures are super hero or star wars some of the older sets have become very expensive now, Like most things prices can be a bit off putting.

That is a modern one, the older ones had a Wire lever lock, think Grolsch beer top. The metal lid was locked down on a red rubber seal.

Then game a along a metal screw ring with a flat lid, was a golden colour if I recall correctly.

Does not mater how old they are. They are good to keep Beer yeast in

I just found the welder on bricklink so grabbed one, The only problem now is is i think they are up to series 16 so 16 figures in each series mean i have some collection to do lol.

Yes i agree i was only on there 20 minutes and i had a badly bruised wallet, Lego.com has always been a good place to buy when they have a sale on and you get points and some interesting freebies. I have a few of the Lego Bionicles which never seemed to catch on like Lego, But They were well made, As i was going through the loft i found A Bionicle in a display case used for shop display you can see it in this picture just right of the centre.

That was after a soak in hot caustic, maybe it was to weak or not hot enough. It did not shift the crud. @daleyd it was worse than that fluid used to preserve gun rams etc.

A bit of heat from a hot air gun warmed it enough to dismantle it. The smell was not to bad, if you are used to skunks.

So I attacked it. Wire brush in angle grinder, that shifted it. Wipe down with a paraffin soaked rag, removed the rest.

The threads are M6, but the screw for the retaining clip was BA.

It is an MOD item from 1990.

It is now on the bench?
Why? Not got round to putting it away.

Today - re acquired that space in the workshop, I tried a more direct approach. Good friends stayed with us last night and copious amounts of food and drink were consumed. He refurbishes generators so I left mine near the back door so he had to keep walking round it. We all went for a long walk along the coast path today and when we got back his now filthy retriever had to sit alongside his newly acquired gennie.

He did at one point suggest that he would fix it and let me have it back at which point I threatened to withdraw the offer! so its now gone forever.. at last!

I have used DBAN or "Dariks book and nuke" many times if you have time it can wipe to DoD level pretty hard find much after that.
