Friends uncle is emigrating and Im the only welder he knows so he gave me this for helping him move stuff and tidy up the propertyl. Probably gonna sell because I already have an identical one. the Battery is a month old because he crushed the old one, and its got a 9100xx lens. chuffed is an understatement.

Today I acquired my generator back, a text from a neighbour telling me I was a .... head that had left my genny out so he put it in his van to keep it safe.

Cant moan about good neighbours ..

Son collects Britool socket sets, we found this with an assortment of stuff in it so had to buy it.
No idea of the make though

Popped into home base as mentioned above for some cheap tooling, some proper cheap stuff, near enough unbranded but club hammer for 3 quid and a couple of ratchet clamps for £3 couldn't say no.

Todays finds.

A few months ago I found this big "Ball Joint Splitter"



Well I was back at the same site and near were I kicked that out of the ground this was half buried.



That's it, nothing bean done to it. Yet, watch this space.



Plus on the shelf, marked for disposal were these two locks. I helped them by disposing of them in my van.

Regret picking this up now.

Messed up my use of space.

Time for a major rethink of the garage layout. Not looking forward to moving the lathe again.

Rawplug Hammer. With 2 bits. It works.
I just need to remove the 2 bits from the mandrills and try it out.

A few hours today.

A good de-greasing and wipe down. It was coated with some clear sticky stuff.



It was striped down and re greased and it all works.
But the small scratches and nicks made using it with out gloves uncomfortable.
They were not deep, just the stuff it would get in us and being dumped in a tool box.

Fine files, wet and dry and a buff up and we get.


The 2 bits came apart with some use of heat and a drift.

One issue came to light, was the handle was bent, so when you cranked it over you knuckles suffered.



I found out, google helped, there was 2 style of handles for this machine. Looking at the handle I have it was an early version. But I was worried if I worked the handle to fix it would crack or fail. As it was I had to remove the handle and re-rivet back so the slop was removed. Nice job with a ball pein hammer and a beer.

So another tool for my collection.

Are the Lego figures you and the lady of the house? I have been into Lego since i was a child never seen the welder figure.
