The 155mm grinder is now fully working. I replaced the power lead, yes, another skip find. Cleaned the M14 spindle.


The De-walt SDS drill works, but it has bean well used. It will do for me, if only for rough and ready work. I all ready a SDS drill.
Yes The bit shown here, was also found in one of the toll box's.



The bow saw is in bits, well the varnish is wet, so that's why.
The Leytool drill has cleaned up well.



No news on the 115v transformer, watch this space.

The tool box's have yielded some good stuff.
Yes, I know some bits have doubled up, but I had a few beers.
I have a good selection of screws, nuts and bolts.

Yes they both work, yes I brought new gas. I used it to warm the retaining nut on the 115mm Skill angle grinder.

Saw this green box and saved it from the tat man last night, Sadly it was quite wet and had made all the tools rusty but a few are worth saving, The box is galv so will be ok, It looks like it had a tool tray at some point.

I walk the dogs 2 times a day by me round all the back streets, But its best to spot the houses clearing out with a skip and ask, I have had quite a few nice people ask if i wanted to have a look in the sheds or garages as they were moving out..Also have alook on your local freecycle its amazing what you see for free

Lovely almost brand new safe from the bottom of the Grand Union Canal. Nothing wrong with it except having no lock, and being all rusty and full of mud

Surprised to find it was made of thick plate, so will be an easy project to weld repair, and stick a new lock on.

The bottom of the canal is a strange place to keep your safe, especially as its got an electronic lock, I suspect something is not fully kosher here ?

I can see lizards or dinosaurs in kit form lying there
