I worked with a chap who was borderline manic depressive and was invited to a consultation with the Bank's psychologist [who knew they engaged/needed the services of one? ]. The professional advice amounted to three words "Activity alleviates anxiety" - in other words.....do something. The idea being, I suppose, the 'doing' distracts from problems at the forefront of the conscience mind?
