I have a pair of them, Bernard brand with a little dog on the side! Mine don’t have the cutter but though a google search reveals they made all sorts of models, cutters included. They’re extremely useful for holding round parts (like bolts) against the wire wheel as the jaws have a groove cut on each face.

Got this drill today off @Paul.
Awesome bit of kit, tried it with a 1" holesaw and it just chewed through it nice and slowly without catching and stalling. Holesaw and slug were just slightly warm. Very impressed with the torque

6" 3 jaw minus the jaws.

It fits.

Was planning on using the backplate to make a faceplate but it's in good nick. Just need to see if I can find some jaws. Made in England but no makers name. Stamped with 312 on the adjusters.



When I bought my lathe it had a little 4" 3 jaw only.

Been lucky. All these fit.

good excuse to join up. last time i tried it failed.

too good to seperate from the baseplate. the 5" is a bit ropey and was bought for the baseplate as it only cost me £15.

I have one jaw for a Pratt Burnerd three jaw spare. I was cleaning the sump and it was in the bottom!

Looks nice - apparently the handles are Indian hardwood, I wonder if the castings are too?

Read a few reviews on Axminster, looks to be a stout little work horse but needs a little tuning and flattening before it’ll produce the best work for you. Time to get that wet granite slab out!

I have a drawer full of jaws, most I think from 250mm Dia chucks but some are smaller, will have a look once you know the sizes.

Nice, Denbigh is lovely quality. I was looking at a big old belt drive mill and drill (two machines) but they needed a tonne of work so I didn’t get them.

Nooooooooo!

She came up good! Degreased, wire brushed and then all masked off properly. An enjoyable project for two evenings.

Just picked this up this morning



Powcon 300SS plugged in started then blew one of the primary filter caps apart. Have to get some replacements but looks promising. Only paid £40 for the welder. Caps probably going to cost £10 so quite happy

The files are in their new home.
I failed to check for and names etc. or if I did I forgot to remember.

I blame some one else.

The Rat tail has a WD and arrow stamp. Not bad.

The top of the 2 flats is Made in England and Sheffield.
The lower one is another Wiltshire file, yes and long way from home. The place I got them from has another box full. But I am awash with files and projects.

The big rasp, Made In Switzerland. Never seen that before.

Old safety squints were getting a bit too crusty, got the exact same again, Bolle Trackers, would absolutely recommend.

Finally replacing the leaky switch on my compressor too.
