Today i managed to get the RSJ in place i got last week and with the weather i got most of the block work at the front done.

Full disclosure, I didn't acquire this today, I was given it many years ago and it has been buried in the parents barn. They were clearing some stuff out today so I took the opportunity to unearth it from it's resting place and shift it to the garage. Needs a bit of a clean up before I can make out the markings.

Shouldn't the platform be on the inside so the archers can fire through the slots?

Update mower after a carb clean major lots of rust in the bowl looking like the power move is knackard but have removed the parts for that and can now be used as a standard push mower did look in to fixing the powered bit but parts are expensive and it would not be worth it

Ive got a 436 in a similar state. They are a bit heavy for pushing about.. Apparently its either the cable or a dog gear gone, 35 quid apiece last time I looked. 35 quid for a cable, dear me... Very good mowers though.

its not the cable as had a look at that and freed it up but was working anyway a bit stiff but did move (ive kept the parts needed to put it back together) its the actuator near the back wheels its a lever there that im assuming move up to start the back wheels to move the lever does not move even by hand that makes me think its in the drive unit somewhere and thats a ball ache to even get to if its broken its a sealed unit so they only thing that i can see that could be in there to stop it working is its internal parts and if one of them is broken or snaped inside then its game over

Wow - 115db! Proper little growler. Mine is a similar size but only 80db thankfully. I cut down an almond tree with it yesterday, branches and trunk probably 25cm dia. You don’t realise how big a tree is until it crashes onto the ground! The sap smelled gorgeous as I was cutting it.
It s the stretch in the cable that does for them apparently but if the levers stuck then it does sound like a pain to sort. I'm still pushing mine too.

there is loads of ajustment in my cable as it was near the start of the ajustment i tighten it up and pulled nothing thats when i undone it and pushed on the lever underneath i dont know how much pressure it takes to actavate it not that mush i would think and in the cable near the top is a spring to stop you pulling it and doing damage if theres a problem
on yours did you have to actualy engage the engine to use the powered lever or will it pull it with out the engine not running ?
and to work out if the cable is the problem all you should have to do is pull on the outer black plastic going in to the plastic deck to see if the cable is the problem
Engine running or not shouldnt make any odds, but might have to spin the roller a bit to get the dogs engaged.My cables at the end of its adjustment, everything moves but I think its a stretched cable and worn dogs combined to stop it working. It did just catch and drive once but not now. I will have it apart and sort it at some point but its way down the list..

And bare in mind it will slacken after using for a short time as it heats up and stretches.
Especially new chains.

oh yeah. there pulling down the 2 drystores next to mine. one has 240v on a card meter so there gonna pop it into mine for me. already wired up inside just no mains feed atm.
be able to work down there on occasion. need to rack out both sides sometime and fit my locks wednesday.
