I'd say very bloody expensive!!

its an eclipse 242 M8 to M16 tap handle.

I've seen someone on Cloudy Nights or somewhere use it to make a "mirror cell", the support structure for the main mirror in a big homemade reflecting telescope. Not sure why you'd want to make it so lightweight when it's stuck to the back of a two inch thick piece if glass but there you go.

I was surprised how heavy these panels are, The are about the same weight as MDF 18mm 8x4 but they don't flex much like glass panels
