Yes you are. If they are compromised by damage or dirt or if they can't be adjusted to fit the wearer. The KM on the hat is probably KMI (Kier Murphy Interserve joint venture) who are doing a lot of civils work in the west midlands for water utilities (I worked on Preston UID). Orange jacket probably came from the same place because tunnellers wear orange rather than green usually.

I wouldn't wear someone else's hard hat. Would you wear someone's dirty sweaty socks?

I only use a hard hat about twice a year, if I'm getting something craned out of my work boat, or urban exploring old buildings with dangerous collapsing floors. The later I will be doing this weekend. It not used for my normal daily work.

I tried the DME, and I'm getting 1.2 mm for the calibration disk. Looks like its faulty to me.

Ditto. I will concede to a bump cap, most of the jobs we get involved with don't involve anything that might fall on you... tunnels are like that

Quite a good haul, also there is a pile of BS conduit dies and holders but they will probably end up becoming gifts again as I don't think it's not used anymore, many only resto work.

A genuine load liner for the freelander, a customer gave it to me. Should be useful for transporting stuff to the tip

Made a fue flue clamps and cut out a couple of stainless plates for the flue to go through for a frind the outher day and said it was a favior but he insited on paying me in some way. The options were a bunch of old horizontal milling cutters for me to butcher in to wood working cutters whitch was tempting or mystery item whitch i couldnt refuse he turned up tonight with this

Iv given it a bit of a cleen up sorted out the dinted fan cover and taken out the play from the pillar that it swings on just need to find a sutable cup wheel for it.
A quick google reveals its for sharpening punch tooling and iv been planig on building a punch press

Is conduit not just BSP?

No different O/D and tpi, it's just different. Shame BSP I can use.

Depends on the fault, our workshop guys have been fettling such things since before I joined in 1993. You could send it up and we'll take a look; if we can't, just pay the return carriage (that way there's no suggestion we tell you it's knackered so we can keep it and flog it on).

Have managed to find the user manual for the DME, can scan it up and email if you want to go through and check settings? Likeliest cause is a duff probe or broken coax cable to the probe. Alas they're a bit funny about the type of probe you can use, unlike say a UT flaw detector.

Exercise bike .I gave Sitting at tip. Gave it a strip down. Dry and re grease. Seems fine

Minimig 180C Has a fault, nothing happens when you press the trigger, but push the relay and everything starts moving. Haven't had a chance to look and see why yet, but keeping fingers crossed it's something simple.

I'm hoping so! He said it was working, he advertised it as he's retiring then when the bloke came to pick it up it worked once then wouldn't work again. He hadn't used it for quite a while before that. I shall get a multi tester out after crimbo and see what's what. It's not a eurotorch sadly so we'll have to see how to take it apart. I have plenty of fine emery

Now this is just getting silly. I've just aquired (barring mishaps) a twenty year old SIP Ideal 150, full working order, with eurotorch. My workshop will be overflowing. If I get the minimig working I shall give them both a thoroughly good workout and keep whichever one feels best. I know sips are generally rubbish but I believe this is one of the old proper ones. Fingers crossed, here's hoping!
