They used to mix it in with ashes and rubble, I know it got used under plenty of car parks round my way, all to save money...

8m tape measure, dirty on the outside. Another one for me to misplace.





13mm Jacobs chuck and key.




A selection of 1/4" drive sockets, a good mix of makes. Oh yes a bit holder.




A set of Dormer drills.



Imperial sizes with 3 missing.



The upper role is reduced shank drills.

The dirty white thing is the remains of a 1958 list of Dormer drills. The address is Narrow Wine street Bristol. But the name is lost.


What did it cost me?

Time and experience, a friend needed his Dads strimer fixed. A petrol 2 stroke Still clone.
Fresh fuel, spark plug cleaned and the carb fixed to the body. 2 of the 4 screws were missing.

A friend of mine worked on the railways and he remembers having "snowball" fights with asbestos that was being carried in the goods wagons.

The town I'm from had one of the biggest asbestos factories in Ireland, lots of tv documentaries done on the town. There was a sand pit near me where the dust was dumped and the local kids would sled down the piles of asbestos dust on old car bonnets with a huge cloud of dust kicking up behind them. I still remember watching lorry loads of asbestos sheeting being laid down on ploughed fields and then rotavated into the ground.

Easily done. They fit those on the doors I used to install. Metal pegs fixed into the door, and then a corresponding hole and reinforcing plate on the frame. I believe they were Chubb ones they used.

Enter "Yale P-125-SC" in Google, and it'll show you the things.

I got this on Thursday, Makita 14.4v impact wrench with separate large battery pack and charger, Must be a "few years old" but still working great, Does anybody have any experience with this tool and or information, Paid a tenner for it, also got an 8A ABSAAR charger still in the box for a fiver, I must have at least five chargers already (but a bargain is a bargain, right)

Blade cleaned with vegetable acid, was a worth a try. But not something I would try again.

Handled cleaned and drying out as I set and sharpened the teeth. You can see the flash glinting of the fresh metal on the teeth.

The original saw and the new replacement.

The original was suddenly found at the friends house. Odd, as he suddenly wanted help.

Yes, it is a Floor Board saw. Used to cut floor board joints.



It also has a row of teeth on the upper edge.
