A brand new LED Luxo lamp.

Unfortunately it's too clean and nice for the garage but too hideously ugly for anywhere else.
Very nice I' m hunting for something like that for my Harrison lathe lost out on a couple of auctions last few days

Talking of buying tools.
Update on the dewalt track saw.
Saw a lot of use this week both on 18mm mdf and doubled up 18mm shuttering ply.
Didnt bother changing the 40 tooth for the ply and still had to feed it fast to keep it happy.
Double pivot handle is very nice to use but took some adjusting to. Need a little more track overhang than the festool to start the cut though.
Bad points.
Really could do with a track lock when canted 45 degrees. Fes didnt have either but its a little more unwieldy.
Also the wing nuts for adjusting angle is fine from -1 to 47 but coming back down the nuts tighten themselves amd need to be slackened right off to let it down. Might glue the bolts in to make this easier.
For £260 im happy. Be putting it through some oak this week and fully expecting it to cope well.

Picked these up today, A really nice old chair that needs a bit of TLC for one of the guest bedrooms and an enamel shade.

Look on the shades for a government mark, it may have a date.

I gave it a clean and the only marks i can see are the label on the side, I have a box of bits for old lights and hope this will allow me to convert it to LED for a room here

This one has had a repair at some point on the back leg, nothing very bad but i also like an old chair, this one is very comfortable and like you i have done a few upholstery jobs, I like to use old fabrics which i have a stash of normally cut out the back of old settees as they tend not to have wear, this one will have some old 1920's cut moquette.

An ear bashing other half moaned tonight after she hears the drill going she asked is that the kitchen rules I bought going up I asked about the other night my son that was carrying and fetching said no dad's putting a new shelf under the stairs for his tools (as soon as he opened his mouth I was doing the cutting sign over my throat )but did not help me out 
So had to put up the sign that was bought (with a little addition)
and yes I had to write it quick but one of the last words was edible if any one can't see it

Nice, I’ve never played with old fabric. Mum is a seamstress and dressmaker as well as doing curtains and stuff, there is always something around when I’ve needed to fix a chair.

Nice guy up the road dropped off some bits, a hand plane earlex spray gun pond air pump and a big pond cl
eaner and we got all the hinges on the gates and ply screwed and glued in.
