A new (to me) 17x96 DSG
my 17x72 is apparently 3.5ton... so yours is 2ft longer + concrete base... must be a fair bit over 4ton?
The Acme Thunderer rings a bell. Not sure if they were ever police issue.
Hello @MattF how much air is required to work these.
Are they easy to come by and how big is it.
Thanks.
Are you collecting whistles ?
SEG still use whistles when escorting VIP's. They reckon that sirens get lost in the noise of london, and unmarked bikes with blues and whistles are more effective!I remember all of my school athletic teachers had Acme whistles, and of course I had to have one when I was a kid; still have it in my old backpacking gear. My next door neighbor was a policeman and had one. If a traffic light went out in a major intersection or if you came upon an accident, policeman would usually be directing traffic using a whistle along with arm motions.
They're still going https://www.acmewhistles.co.ukGot this yesterday. Works too.

Has G.C.R stamped on the other side, so probably railway related.
Rust seems to be the fashion lately.
