It is, I checked. Then I found a mt3 to r8 adapter and decided it would be useful one day. Other than surface rust it looks unused. Not a sign of damage on the cutting edges. The price it would cost me to buy new was the other deciding factor.Nudge..I could possibly make use of it, if it’s MT3 of course
If I can find or make a mt3 to 1inch shank I can use it on the capstan too.

that oil can wont fit the myford it has the wrong end on it it wont oil the saddle or the countershaft as they have nipples on them

A friend of mine likes to Scuba dive, as I used to. Wednesday he brought a lump of concretions, what was heavy for it size. plus it was green.
So when I have been awake and able to, I have been unpicking it.
This is what was in it.
1/4oz Banfield Weight.
It taken awhile, but was it worth it. It kept me sane.(ish)

A Paramo No5 5 inch engineering vice for £10. Lots of surface rust and a bit of welding splatter but otherwise really good condition and smooth operation.I’ll give it a strip down and refurb then move it on as the Record No25, pictured, more than meets my requirements.

I got one of those a couple of weeks ago, pulling the belt round on the grumble drier - I love how they choose 2-foot-square razor blades to make the panels out of

One of my worst work injurys was from the underside of a stainless steel sink I was removing.
Take an age to heal on the bend like that too.
Actually last month but this was first drive. Quick trip up road, glorious weather, nice meal. Came out of café and a group of admirers stood round it

...a dozen 6m lengths of 40 x 40 box, 4 similar lengths of 50 x 50 x 3 angle iron and 40 diameter tube, a couple of 6’ square sheets of 2mm ally chequer plate, a 20 metre 16 amp swa extension lead, 2 storage crates with interlocking lids, a few odds and sods of assorted steel section, a large box of pop rivets, a large plastic trug, and an almost new 36” “Gorilla” wrecking bar.
All courtesy of moving a pair of 40’ storage containers from a construction site near Middlesbrough that’s closing down, and the man in charge said “...take what you want, anything left is going in the skip.” Thank God for 45’ artic trailers...
