They are going to take a hell of a lot of machining but will end up as the gantry risers for my next CNC router build. The commercial machines have cast aluminium boxes, mine will be billet.

my haul today was a riddle for my moulding sand, an english hoe, 2x 12v power supplies (2A max, but good for a hot wire cutter and/or electrolytic rust removal) and a japanese pull saw.

there isnt any good car boot sales about here that id have tools like a lot of ye do pick up over the water, there are ones further away but my car boot sales take place on evenings on the bay.
still hard to beat that lot above alone for a tenner, i gave that alone for a new eclipse pin chuck a few weeks ago but i still get an odd blinder of a deal.
12 mths ago i came across a soba air driven fluid pump, a new one at that, listed for 99p, when i went to see what else he was selling he had the lcd flow meter hand unit for it as well also new, hard to find a price on it but i gleamed the two together were about 1k or more, top notch stuff too it seemed.
so to keep them there i stuck a £1 bid on them, 4 days later and 1 min to go im still the highest bdder and bang, they are mine for the princely sum of £1.98 and a tenner of postage.
he sent them too...

I think you just have to religously go to them and wade through the 99.99% of crap and eventually you'll come up trumps with some good finds.
