After much swearing, the mountfield is running nicely, the Hayter has a wire snapped off the mag, and the Howard is seized in pretty much every way. Currently I'm trying to get the Hayter apart to put the Mountfield engine on it. Such larks.Having spent the morning blowing leaves and spiders out and emptying a tin of 3 in 1 and a tin of GT85 over them I have high hopes of two of these working, and very low expectations of the third. I have invested £3.80 in two spark plugs...
get all my plants from round the back of Homebase
Like they say on the adverts, 'when the fun stops, stop' as you seem to be having fun and have loads of room I don't see the problem....
My tool collecting is getting out of hand...

I acquired this recently, any thoughts on what it is? It measures about 1m diameter.
Nice stainless steel ruler's at Pound World today, for a £. Centimetres on one side and inches on the other, with a hole on one end for hanging. Just need to lightly stone the edges.
A couple of years ago they had metre long ones. Wish I had bought two or three.

Todays Car boot, friends new elec wheel chair was fantastic on the grass. But her reversing horn is way to noisy. Makes finding her easy I suppose.
Bumped into a old friend today, from local trading standards office. Got breakfast paid by him.
@HughF it was Standerwick.
Slim pickings, to may hawkers and such.
But the other one was better.

£1. Not for the chisels, they were free. The Plane blade and Cap iron are a good fit for a No5 plane.
The chisels will be used to teach restoration to MIS.

Interesting, I did some work in what was vickers gun shop in the shipyard when I was thereA very interesting clamp, this text only showed up after a dip in some kerosene to clean of the crud
I think G. Dept stand for Gun Department and V.S.M stands for Vickers, Sons & Maxim
This was in amongst a marine engineers stuff
Also there was this propeller shaft with what I am led to believe is a cushion / flexible coupling, I got it for the Bronze Shaft 1 5/8" thick ..
I’m fairly sure if I had plugged it in I could have run a bead with it.
Very brave thoughts there
Apart from a little corrosion where the cad plating had gone off a few connection nuts there was hardly any evidence of being submerged. All the copper was bright and shiny and the only bit I could see might be iffy was the electrolytic capacitor in the bottom.
Can’t beat the old made stuff, but I still wouldn’t plug it in
Maybe by cahonas aren’t big enough, lol
