I'm ruthlessly stealing your idea for a cable tie tidy.Well it’s now 3.5 inches shorter, degreased, cleaned and assembled fitting onto the bench nicely
If is Morse taper 2 I've repaired one few months agoI acquied a 12 speed Nu-Tool Bench Drill. Runs well, chuck seems true with no wobble but needs a good clean and so the movement of the arms is smooth again.
One slight problem is that it doesn't fit on my bench due to the height. Current position is about all I can manage and it's no use there. As the motor and drill and mounted on a post then clamped with grub screws. My thinking is I can just cut off 3 inch from the top so that I can move it into a better position on the bench then pull it forward to use, dropping it on its side to adjust the pulleys. Any one see a problem with that scenario before I start cutting?

I'm waiting the one that has the red clutch gear
It's cheap it's 3 years warranty we should able to find batteries for years
Why don't pick up them?
Watching with interest I have one sitting in the workshop, unboxed it the day before my accident in January, haven't power up and had a play either.Thought I'd give a Katsu bottle trimmer a go as my old Hitachi is on its last legs.
Seems well made . Il power it up tomorrow. No transformer within easy reach
Il give it a decent test in pine and oak tomorrow. Feels solid enough.Watching with interest I have one sitting in the workshop, unboxed it the day before my accident in January, haven't power up and had a play either.

But this was three phase , is your single phase?
If he spindle has a tapered bore for the chuck (or big drill bit) to fit into, it's a morse taper. If not it'll most likely have a male "Jacobs" taper on the spindle that presses into the back of a chuck. If you extend the quill as far as it goes, a morse taper spindle should have an elongated slot in the side of it a few inches from the end to allow a drift to fit through and knock the chuck/big drill out.Yes, single phase. The first part of your post, you've mistaken me for someone much more intelligent as I have no idea what Morse Taper 2 is but please enlighten me.
It's the impact drill /driver versionDon't know that one, but yes 3 years warranty is really good for something so cheap. I'll pick up some more batteries in the next few weeks, they do a twin pack for 16 yoyo's or a charger and a battery for the same price i think. Thing is they have plenty of them and have them in regularly too.
Morse taper is the name of the conical taper systemYes, single phase. The first part of your post, you've mistaken me for someone much more intelligent as I have no idea what Morse Taper 2 is but please enlighten me.

It's always my problemOh yeah, they had them here a few weeks ago, along with the bike thieves special, the cordless angle grinder, but i had no spare cash on me that day.
