That's a lovely piece of kit and in excellent order!
Use it to lever up slabs.

just to highlight our medical sickness we all have,i took an item the scrapyard last weekend and missed it that much i went back today and thankfully found it under a pile of washing machines...its now back in my workshopI'm waiting for the day when none of us acquire anything - but I'm not holding my breath!! It's just not going to happen......
Definitely, always stand to one side when approaching the point of release.Those pullers are great, but can generate a lot of force. I have seen them fly when a bearing suddenly lets go off a shaft, so be careful with them.
If youve got any proper scrapyards locally, theres a fair amount to be made using those to pull the pulleys off old motors and eblagging them. (the pulleys)Last week I borrowed these from my dad, he's just told my I can keep them, so;
Today I acquired two Sykes Pickavant hydraulic pullers.

500ml bottle for scale, they're reasonably big.
The big one has some shorter arms, as well as a couple of ram extensions and a nice steel box to live in. The long twin armed one should get a fair bit of use, its got a really thin gripping edge so it can for behind most gears/pulleys.
You can see in the back right one of my old pullers, I don't imagine it will get much use now.

I tend to use them vertically if possible.Definitely, always stand to one side when approaching the point of release.
I have a brand new ram still in its protective sleeve but no puller, I need to start looking in Kwik Fit skips!I've got a set of those missing the hydraulic ram, got them out of Quickfit's skip.
Thanks Quick fit.
Anyone got a buckshee ram ?

Over the years I have seen odds and ends of Sykes pullers at the car boot sale,m so I started buying any bits I see and I now have almost a full set for a fraction of the cost, rarely used but so handy when you need oneThose pullers are great, but can generate a lot of force. So we,ve established the only thing Kwik Fit are fit for is skip diving...sums the company up perfect ide sayI have a brand new ram still in its protective sleeve but no puller, I need to start looking in Kwik Fit skips!
