It is an DC inverter machine you have ? these wont burn good on an AC

These recessed lift up fittings aren't that good, bought a new trailer with these fitted down both sides, most of the rings have torn out of casings, they are a bit fragile.

yet you see big wagons with them fitted , never understood that , the load/pull rating cant be much on them , especially considering the size of bolts fitting them . and some use soft coach bolts....

Good point thanks. Yes it's a DC inverter 75V open circuit.

They are ok for cargo type loads, not so clever for things like machines that are leaping about . Don’t think they are much thicker than 1.5mm.

all Ifor trailers are fitted with them, they sell more trailers each year than you or i are ever likely to see. and i have used them for around 10 years on this trailer, i have used 5 ton ratchet straps that have held down larger dumpers and excavators, and will pull a vehicle to the bump stops on its suspension.
This was after a 150 mile trip to collect, and my van is 4x4 and running around 280bhp.

280bhp !! what do you have stuck in that , did nt realise those vw were 3500kg rated? or is rr lighter than I think

Its a 2.5L 5 Cylinder with uprated injectors, turbo, intercooler, etc, its 4x4 and rated @2850kg trailer weight. RR classic is only 1900kg, trailer is 575kg.
Been pulled by PC plod few times, got taken to weighbridge one.
