Mine is doing similar things - sometimes it goes full speed, so I slow it down on the control and it goes slow, then I can bring the speed back up again a little. Sometimes it will stay there, and sometimes it will run away with itself again. It's annoying, because there are lots of things I need it for at the moment, places to grind down where a proper-sized grinder is too big to get in.Killed the multi tool grinder, went full speed and died !
Something that goes round and round. Id say a turbine, or big centrifugal pumpWhat's it from?
2.4MW hydroturbine, generator nde bearing.Something that goes round and round. Id say a turbine, or big centrifugal pump
The bearing looks expensive but I should hate to think what the labour cost is!Sadly the bearing is the third, behind a pair of axial locating bearings (single tapered roller), right pallaver to get to, the oil "seal" is further in again. Three days work to get to this...
Similar output to a Chinese rated 6hp generator then?2.4MW hydroturbine, generator nde bearing.
About £12k so far, same to rebuild, plus £130k lost generation because the whole site is off...The bearing looks expensive but I should hate to think what the labour cost is!
Well I didn't quite break it, but its definately broke...
3 bearings seems over complicated set up, is it quite a high speed machine, its only 2.4mw so not that big!
it has forces in two directions, so needs both axial and radial bearings. True it would be simpler with just tapered roller, but I didn't design it...3 bearings seems over complicated set up, is it quite a high speed machine, its only 2.4mw so not that big!
