I think it would be more appropriate to call them "lubrication points" to avoid confusion.
From what I've seen grease rarely makes an appearance in machine tool save for the motors..and the vertical head on my Elliott.
Anyway...in the spirit of the thread...although not broken I did manage to set one of my fence posts 70mm too high. I could come up with all sorts of excuses but in reality it's probably just because I'm a tit.
