Why did you break that ?
I've got two sets of taps, and have now broke both holders. The other one broke both of the 'wedeges' which grip the tap.Must have been from the same batch of reclyed coke cans and washing machines my die holder was made of so made a new one on the lathe

Laser 6058 magnetic tap sockets used with a T bar and extension if required.
Haven't bothered with the traditional tap holder since I got them a few years ago.Like the look of those. MrsG will be getting me a set for Christmas
That would be difficult to spot until you were cleaning it up.Not me personally, but missed this when I removed a cylinder head last week.
Only noticed it this afternoon, while cleaning everything up to fit a new head gasket.
Now I need to remove the engine to find out what type of crank seal it has, so I can get a short engine ordered.

If you need any more pics or measurements just shout.
The main issue was I only really concentrated on where the head gasket had blown between the front two cylinders, as the block was a bit pitted with a mark on the liner that looked like a crack, but it cleaned up fine bar the pitting, so we were just going to try a full copper head gasket to see how it lasted. That would be difficult to spot until you were cleaning it up.
