Work boots anyone tried the V12 brand

Not been worn regularly then ? I never got a year out of a pair of wellies

several months every year , they are the unlined aigles, use with thick socks ,these days with plastic bag over the top of sock

I found that dubbin stays sticky & causes dirt to stick to it, this stuff dries out fully, oils the leather & waterproofs it. They even do a version that you can buff to a parade type shine!

As for boots, Altberg are a very good boot & can be picked up quite cheaply as they are the standard supplied British army boot.

For safety boots I only wear Grisport, Italian leather, extremely comfortable & hard wearing.

I wear wellies pretty much every day at some point even in the summer because they are quick and easy.

I was wearing Dunlop Purofort Safety, nice and light and very comfortable. They do multiple years easily. I did try Purofort Pro but they felt a bit heavy and stiff. I'm now wearing Purofort Field Pro safety and I really like them, they fit snug around the ankle which makes them really nice to walk in as they don't flop around.

I used to wear wellies everyday, to tight in those days to buy leather boots! I now don’t own a pair of wellies, find them uncomfortable, no ankle support and make your feet sweat.

I've yet to try any Grisport safety boots (I don't really have a need) but I'm a huge fan of Grisport walking shoes and boots; I have about six pairs now!

Itakain as you say, made in the Dolomites in a factory with very green credentials, much of the power generated sustainably at the site.

I hate cheap wellies. Cheap wellies seem to be the absolute worst of cheap footwear.
I have aigles for home and skellrup toe capped for work. And if either got a hole in I would replace them straight away.
I spent many years being tight but realized what a stupid excercise it is. I never begrudge or regret spending money on anything that makes life more comfortable.

I've got a pair of their walking boots too, I wear them when I'm not in the steelies! Only downside is that they are a very warm boot, great in winter, not so good in summer!

Oddly V12 appeared on my fb today. The boots look good but the leather looked rather soft. The reviews were very mixed.

I ordered a pair of the Haix Boots Cold Wet Weather boots well 2 pairs actually one for me and one for the wife.
It will be good to compare them to the Griesport boots I have

Well thanks to @Blicksheep and other comments for recommending Haix.

Nabbed off eBay for £30. They're for use in the shed but I can confirm they are incredibly comfortable. I was wearing them round the house as if they were slippers.
