In summertime, and heck wintertime too when I am in the shop, I wear slip on Sievi shoes, it's just so quick and easy. Not for working outdoors in wet or winter weather though.

They also have a bunch of safety boots and shoes. All made in Finland.

I need some new boots bought some dickeys dealer boots but the soles are coming off after 7 months and its not like I wear them ever day + they rub the side of me toe so Im looking for wide fitting any of you folks tried these ? Or recommendations for another make thanks

I have been thinking about getting some dealer boots for a while but last week tried on some cheap ones from screwfix and some Bucklers but I found both to be uncomfortable and baggy no matter what size.

I bought a pair of Dewalts and are super comfy and a nice snug fit. I’ve worn CAT Holton brown leather boots for as long as I can remember but think I’ve found a new go to boot

if you polish them with boot polish every mine last 2 years. without 6 month keep the leather soft or it dries out and cracks

Grafters arnt the greatest quality
Buckler dealer boots last me longer than any other boot it's a shame they don't do something similar with laces all there lace up boots are full fabric not proper leather

I haven't tried them as I'm to tight but redbacks are meant to be the best dealer boots for comfort

I only have one pair of boots at a time, only have two feet you see.
Current boots are Altberg peackeapers. I have had them a few years, and they have another few years in them.

Some of the boots I have had didn't last much longer than my brothers monkey boots. Were they monkey boot's? High plimsoles with
white soles that came from woolies. Some boots include Cat and Dickies.

I had a set of bucklers for a short while which were super comfy, but they leaked so easily where external toe caps joined, same ones as @rory1 .

I'm lucky that I get to go the US with work sometimes and I get ones while there. I've given up buying them in the UK. It grudges me to say it, but the Yanks do a pretty good job on the boots they still make in country, they seem to take real pride in making good boots for work.

I'm currently on a set of goretex insulated Wolverine Chesapeakes which are holding up pretty well, but I made sure to get a set that was made in the US. They are a logger boots though so have a slightly higher heel.

Other boots on my list when I last went were the Danner Quarry and Matterhorn Mt900, but I couldn't find a stockist near where I was. You can get them here in UK, but you can't try them on before you buy.

I prefer lace up boots too and I'm not allowed to wear non-lace up boots for work anyway.

I would have thought most good mining boots would be worth a look.

Lately I've been quite happy with the Cofra ones. Made in Italy. For work since nowadays I don't deal with hot metal, I can use something more sneaker styled and more comfortable.

I keep swapping had a few pairs of bucklers,V12 boots, amblers, now I'm back to bucklers . All Chelsea style I can't do with laces setting off fire all the time .

i wear dewalt apprentice , get the ones with the honey colour sole ,,, comfy out of the box , light and waterproof for a while in a year they are worn out , but its ppe so who cares your not going out dancing in them at the weekend.

Timberland boots. The pro ones I have are light as they have a composite toe cap and sole insert instead of steel.

I also have a pair of Helly Hansen safety boots that are excellent.

In the past I have had "Workit' boots that have lasted me well. All the above have been exposed to seawater and have served me very well.

Engelbert Strauss for me, not the most durable i've ever had but pretty good and more importantly they do wide fit, which is a revelation when you have had to make do with wearing “the next size up” for 20 years because nobody else bothers to make one. Can't put a price on having well fitting footwear.

I loved my Tuf boots, tan leather. I had a pair of Cat boots a few years ago that looked just like them.
