This is a dual brake system so is bad enough with the number of pipes to make.

Just back from holiday and then away for work so haven’t been in the workshop. Made a few more brake lines this afternoon, just a couple more to do and then on with the engine and gearbox.

It's a twin brake circuit.

Your brake pipes are very good. There are very cheap brake pipe bending tools out there and there are some quite expensive ones as well. It would be good to see what you are using to get such presentable results.

It's just a cheapo for the brake lines, will get a pic. It does quite a tight bend so when needing bigger bends I just do a little and move it along a bit until I get the curve I want.

That's the brake pipes made for now. Need to coat the fixings and steering idler before final tweaks. Glad they are finished. The final two I copied the originals and were a little tricky.

I copied the original brake lines and most of it made perfect sense but why these two kink out like that I can’t understand, maybe when the car is back together. They could just go straight and as far as I can see would be totally out of the way. Anyone got any thoughts why?

I find that there's rarely a sensible answer to weird stuff like that in the automotive industry, it could have been a design change to the subframe that wasn't updated for the pipes. Equally it could have been Sven dropping a blob of meat ball sauce on the subframe drawing before it went to prototyping.

It’s two circuits so you can lose one circuit and you still have both front brakes and 1 rear. It was brought in as a safety improvement over the single circuit where if you had a leak you could lose all your brakes. Attached a drawing of the layout which should help show how it works.

Oh, I was thinking if the servo swapped sides then they'd just flip everything across the engine bay and the splitter would be on the opposite side. I guess we're back to Sven and his meatballs then.
