There was a heated discussion about it. As I put the parts in the kitchen when she was at work. But my persuasive ways won the argument. It's better to be in the kitchen painting were she can keep an eye on me. Or outside in the shed were eBay is to tempting.

Any chance you can put the sizes up for this pulley as my shaper has a single (home made by the look ) pulley on a 1440 rpm motor.

There is an online calculater that you can use
To determine pulley size and speed and so on. I found it yesterday and its good

The original motor should spin at 940 rpm.

It's great, it'll do v belt pulleys, polyvee, chain and sprockets, lathe changegears, acceleration, electrical load calcs - loads of stuff

With the authorised extension plugin below there's not a huge amount it can't do

With today's technology I would of thought that plug in would of been wireless

The original motor should spin at 940 rpm.

I think it been replaced at some time before my ownership

so the pulley is 50mm od and 34 id and the belt is on the larger groove it does 33 strokes per min in low range and 66 in top gear.

pdg far easer to switch shaper on and count than faf with measurements

Another part done. No paint on these parts. Just clean oiled raw cast.

Some folk that read this stuff, including me, have a form of number dyslexia, it can take me quite a few tries to dial a phone number on a keypad, I say 'Sorry wrong number' a lot.

My brain doesn't retain numbers very well, often transposes them or reverses the order of a string.

Therefore I will use all the help I can get to avoid any sort of mathematics.

Your scornful replies on the subject of maths do not show your best side.

Is that why there appears to be a rather uncomplimentary message painted on that kitchen towel?
