What diameter are the pulleys?

See post 144, the belt is much bigger than a fan belt and even a new one is quite stiff.

Also, in post #144 that belt looks like it's riding high in the vee which would indicate it's the wrong size.

Nope, it's the correct size but as it's barely run in it now needs adjusting a tad, must get round to that, :-)

I'll do a quick sketch in a bit of which measurements would be required - I may have some bits that'd get you sorted, depending on what's needed to get the speed near right.

Got some parts ready for some oxide.
Got the bearings out. And they are definitely past there sell by date. A trip to my local on Monday for some replacements. Sealed type.

Agreed, but would that not reduce the effective diameter of the flywheel pulley, thereby lessening the gearing gained by fitting a smaller motor pulley?
