If you remove the bar there's 2 unused holes which look like they're for mounting a set of metal teeth. I thought about making a plate to fit mine but on a small saw like that they're not really neededonly thing is the plastic er are they called scabards? that dig into the log when cutting?

If your boring into big trees, you loose depth of cut due to the dogs. They’re meant to make cross cutting logs a bit easier for the operator

Why not just install a largest Honda stationary engine with hydraulic pump, instead of having to connect the 110?
That's what longer bars are for
