BOC and Volkszone - Gas Offer

Just a quick one guys, people who are in the trade - Are you getting it cheaper than this deal? I'm looking to register my own business, But you cannot register a Business address for the Volkszone offer. Not sure wether its better to swap to a commercial account or keep using the volkszone on the sly...

i think it more about how much volume you use in a year,
more you use, the cheaper rates your get... i think

Y size Pureshield argon is £73.54 inc. Vat
Y size Argoshield light is £50.89 inc. Vat

is anyone else paying these prices

yes Im on the volkzone offer, just looks like the prices are higher than people have been quoting in April and early May of this year (on this thread).

Previously people have said £50.89 incl VAT, but that looks like the ex VAT price?

Any thoughts before I sign up?

Aye, those are what my account details are currently showing. Pure Argon is a bit dearer at £35-odd plus the dreaded VAT.

looking at last years price list. 1st june 2015.

i would say the prices went up as of the 1st june.


so we are now looking at..

pure argon - Y size
rental £73.54 inc. Vat
gas refill - £42.odd inc. Vat

argoshield light - Y size
rental - £50.89 inc. Vat
gas refill - £34.87 inc. Vat

I've just signed up to the Volkzone deal with BOC for Argoshield Lite and the online document I filled in said £50.89 incl VAT for the yearly rental on the form.

they must of changed the yearly month then from june to may.

Looking at this at the mo, how big is a Y size cylinder ?
Current prices this morning is

Current hobbyist deal on 20 litre cylinders

Argoshield Light size Y is 27.03 gas price (£32.44 inc vat) surcharge 0.96p,
rental £39.45 per year (£47.34 inc vat)

Pureshield Argon size Y is 33.09 gas price, surcharge 0.96p, rental £57.00 per year

All prices exclude VAT
