After cleaning my headstock spindle I wasn't happy with the crud build up inside the spindle. So I had to improvise a method of cleaning the crud off.

good idea that, I had similar dilemma with my Harrison but waited until I got it running again. I cleaned it under its own power, 1500 RPM and some 600 Grit wrapped round a cardboard tube brought it up to a nice shine in seconds very satisfying :-)

It's an awkward item to clean. And being long .I will give it a final clean up before assembly. Can't have rust in places like that.

Doing these pipes is testing my patience I must admit. Some of the pipes are formed in situ.

What an absolute jerk water of a job. Few more to do.

Oil tubes done. Checked the clearance for the selector shaft and selector. Box now installed. Will build the gear clusters in situ.

Today's task was to rebuild the gearbox. Had to dress every gear with small files. Lots of burrs to remove. But I now have a very nice smooth box. Oilers work a treat. Gob done.

Guys. Any of you know where I can get these little things from. Sorry I don't no the name for them. They are used to hold down name badges and plaques on old machinery. These originally have a small head on them.
