For those of you that are interested. My ratchet tap die handle set is made by gearwrench. They are great to use. I have had this set for a long while and I use them almost every day. I can't remember the price but I got them from overseas order.

Made a start on cleaning up compound slide. Lots of work to do on these parts before I start scraping these.

You've still got all the machining marks in the bottom of the dovetail well. This is good because it means the face is untouched and you can use a surface gauge and indicator off that face to assess the wear on the flat bottom ways.

It's in good order Pete for it's age. Should be a nice job scraping them. I going to get all the other parts cleaned and ready and then I can spend the time doing them

Today I got the compound slide and fittings all cleaned. All threads have been tapped . There was a little stoning needed here and there but otherwise they run reasonably smooth as they are.
