The bi fold doors need a decent hinge post, so, steel it will be......

Obvs not the actual anything, except the hinge.

Speaking of which, I think I'll use stainless screws, into pre made screw holes. This is what the original screws did..

I want angle section, I have box section and a Hitachi grinder, plus some old disks.....

The outer hinges on the right hand door have always bothered me. But I've ignored them.

They DO need adjusting, as the outer door produces into the wagon too much for the hinge pillar to fit.

They need to be adjusted with a BFH. I had a go before, but it was not long after the shoulder was nailed back together. I'll get industrial tomorrow.

I'm simplifying the design. No braces, no hinge slots, just holes.

I can always modify.

Slight warp on the box, not a surprise, I'll adjust it in a bit.

And, to my surprise, I had some countersunk screws M6.

Success on that hinge!

Eldest held a sledge for me whilst I used percussive persuasion with another sledge. After 5 minutes with the mapp torch. Without heat it didn't budge, but the heat did the trick. I'll put some spray zinc on for now and paint it all up when I do the inner door posts.

Corners are tricky, back to sandpaper and hard work. The rest I'm mostly able to do with powered tools, including the katsu rotary tool.

I'm very tempted to try the stain removal gel again, there's a lot of smaller grey stains that annoy me. If I rinse thoroughly, and leave to dry it should be okay.

corners are easy with a multi tool sander or adaption to the multi tool flat piece easy enough made

Not sure that would work on the profiled beading in the corner, worth a shot, though.

Try a scraper, or a plane blade if you haven't got one.

I'm using heat and a scraper, then a bit of sandpaper. It's weird stuff, the existing varnish, blocks the paper in no time, so I'm using a lot.

As bodges go, it's not bad.
