Bolts arrived. They're nice, worth the wait.

Almost perfectly flush with the steel.

The door on the right needs a bit of sanding, it hits the inner door pillar and just prevents a good close. The plan for tomorrow is to sort that and then trial fit everything, hoping to have them hung by tomorrow evening. Then disassemble and oil the oak and think about catches and handles.

Thinking and figuring, first thing in the morning.

Good floor protection. Check.

Insulated plasterboard fits exactly. Check.

Hinges allow generous clearance for folded back doors. Check.

I knew I wasn't the first, but wasn't expecting to be the third!

This is the third time the doors have had hinges fitted. And each time a screw sheered of.

And thus this is a pain. Anyway, with the use of drills, decent screws, lube, impact drivers and patience, I've got there.

And. It works!!!!! Hurrah. I'll disassemble now, and attach the second door, see how that goes.

These sheered screws are troublesome.

The next fold hinges are on, not great, but might not be relevant.

The door swings okay. Great.

They don't fold back properly.

That's making me cranky, as everything hinges on this.

Big cranked hinges are hard to get today. So parliament hinges are it.

There are clearance issues, though.

I might cut them and weld then tighter.

I don't fancy taking that much out of the doors. So I've further butchered the hinge.

That's a much smaller cut. Happier.

I'll finish this tomorrow. But the good news is I think that the other side will be okay with a normal hinge, as the door rebate is the other way around. I hope so anyway.

I had to remove more than I'd like but I've the clearance I need. I'll trial fit now, and, subject to success, start on the other side.

Slight clearance on the roof truss flange. Which to remove? The oak. I think.

And on to the other pair of doors.
