No Tom, you're not getting soft, it's just too 'parky' to be out for any length of time.
Garages are for such things, with a heater on! Your not too old, just too tight to build a bigger shed/ garage!Minus 4 this morning, car was white with frost. Took an age just to refit the parts required to get the front panel on, even had to take the winch out.

I am too old to be outside working on Landy's in this weather or I am just becoming a wimp, a couple of hours today was enough.
We Scots may be careful with our money, though we have mixed feelings about Global Warming. Because we all get to sit on the mountains and watch the English drownGarages are for such things, with a heater on! Your not too old, just too tight to build a bigger shed/ garage!
If we're all gone who will pay for you lot?Because we all get to sit on the mountains and watch the English drown
We would have a tough time, pretty much self sufficient in renewables, excess of oil, fishing, suppose we have whisky to drown out sorrowsIf we're all gone who will pay for you lot?
Car ports are naff.We Scots may be careful with our money, though we have mixed feelings about Global Warming. Because we all get to sit on the mountains and watch the English drown
The five motorbikes and not willing to put any outside hampers options, the lathe and 2 mills put paid to the Defender ever getting in the garage. Was thinking of a car port.
£18K for a wooden garage seems very expensive?Car ports are naff.
go big , these would be build over your bike shed

Sit down and add up the cost to build similar quality. Wood is expensive! Think those prices include the build too.£18K for a wooden garage seems very expensive?
Beautiful boat, a lot of work gone into that, not sure if you saw the post I did of a friends boat, he is a retired boat builder: https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/lockdown-boat-build.107787/#post-1723281Thing is. It is best to be happy with what you have, as you cannot have it all. You are doing not bad at all Tom. No, car ports are good.
I have 8metre car port leaning onto east elevation of house. This means shelter from prevailing wind and rain. It opens into 6x4 garage and is fenced off to next neighbours. It has had Landy engines suspended across purlins. Built the boat in pic through 2 years and 2 winters. You would have needed a huge shed to do that. The timbers were 24ft long from the whole larch tree.

-8 here this morning, everything is still white. Snow to start Friday then over the weekend on the hills, so picking up new motorbike with trailer tomorrow decided against riding home in the sub zero temperatures.I took one look at that and thought OMG the new lacquer has peeled badly
It seems strange that you don't have snow when all the way down south we have about 2 inches of the stuff sitting around
Glad you are no longer young and daft. It may have ended badly-8 here this morning, everything is still white. Snow to start Friday then over the weekend on the hills, so picking up new motorbike with trailer tomorrow decided against riding home in the sub zero temperatures.
