No brake pads or linings either ? Must say the recharge on our Outlander is not only useful to help extend the battery only distance by a few miles it's a brake lining saver too Alison rarely uses the brakes to slow down .

No I haven't read 31 pages, can anyone tell me if the £12 billion SSE are investing in the grid has been mentioned?

Sorry, it's an energy crisis caused by politics and greed. Asking people to not charge their cars is coming at it from the wrong angle
Profit may not be a dirty word, but blatant profiteering and dividend payouts when the whole world is struggling is wrong
You missed the blah blah, digging the metal out of the ground usung child labour and raping the countryside for it is wrong. As well as blah blah, burying all the duff batteries (millions a year) or the effluent from recycling them (if they work out how to do it viably) will rape the ame or different countryside....

Can you provide a link to this? Genuine question as working for a huge client I have had to do a piece of work on solar panels, starting from raw materials dug out of the ground through to a finished product landing in the UK
Not once did I come across illegal mining, child labour or exploitation

I prefer to call it a Robbery.
That's what it amounts to.
Will anyone make any substantial changes to prevent it.
Probably not.
Much like tax loop holes they can't seem to close.
It benifits those who have that power and the people that finance them

Much easier and profitable to make people believe benefit fraud and immigrants are causing the deficit.
I forget the amounts lost through loopholes but I'd bet it would pay for quite a few nuclear power stations over the next decade.
Better leave that there now.

Our local Royal Mail delivery van is electric now, I think. Very quiet.
It allows them to sneak about and slip those, "Sorry you weren't in" cards through the letter box so much easier. If it wasn't for the van doors slamming you wouldn't know they were there.

A couple of months ago there was a machine, much like that at our local machinery auction, don't know if it was electric or not, and no doors. On viewing day, a week ago I noticed it, laid on it's side looking very folorn, in a pile of stuff that either didn't sell or buyer never picked up from previous sales.
Back to how we get our electric when the gas is turned off, no sun and the wind doesn't blow. I was channel hopping one night earlier in the week and hit on one of those demolition programs, not usually my cup of tea, far rather watch people making things. Anyway, they were cutting up an underwater electric generator. Said it had been in Strangford lough and had come to the end of it's design life. I didn't think any were in use commercially, did it work? Has it been replaced by a new one?

Its actually double that over the next ten years, sounds good except 50% of that is sure to be admin and not cables. We have worked for a few utilities over the years and they are second to none for paper shuffling and spending lots to achieve very little.If the dosh was thrown directly at a hole in the road gang there would be a four fold increase in cables installed.
