Ok I will try solid works and onshape again then.
Try Solid Edge Community Edition as well. It works a bit differently to the others with its "Synchronous Modelling" mode, which I see as an attempt to make a proper CAD tool that has elements of SketchUp style modelling. I don't like it as much as Solidworks et al (although it's better than Fusion in my opinion), but you may find it more intuitive perhaps.
Freecad seems a partial clone of Fusion, except for the spinning of the model functions, that is just primitive and frustrating. I used Freecad for .step to .wrl conversion to EasyEda.
I think (but might be wrong) that FreeCAD predates Fusion by quite a long time. The main thing I dislike about FreeCAD is all the different workbenches as it tries to be all things to all men. It's still pretty amazing though, a given it's something that people have knocked up in their spare time & given away for free.
See now AutoCAD imo is intuitive. It's basically a digital pen and paper aka fag packet. You want to draw a line, square, circle etc pick that icon or type it into the command line.
I agree with you that AutoCAD is intuitive for 2D CAD. I've never used it for 3D, so couldn't comment on that.
Me learning Fusion is a way off but I suppose I should.
Or use something better, like onshape, Solid Edge (both free) or Solidworks (non-free, but the makers edition is cheap).
