I don't have anyone to do that for me so I have to do it myself!I don't care tbh
I model in AutoCAD and give my lad the .STL. I've never "sliced" or printed anything in my life.

Maybe when I get a better pc I'll learn Fusion.
Sounds like every other CAD system, expensive ones especially - someone sat in an office who doesn't actually use it to create stuff has decided it needs "improving" . . . ignoring the fact every single user knows where to go to find what they need, but moving it to completely different tab menu will make perfect sense.
Apparently the next upgrade of ours throws away the 15 yr old way of using the sketch tool and provides an "improved" version . . . cue management asking why we aren't producing new drawings - "dunno, ask system why they HAD to upgrade . . ."

Just select export from the drop down and you can save the STL wherever you like.

It's changed recently:
Under the 'FIle' menu, select '3D Print'
A New dialog opens up:
Seems they've set the default as 'Manufacturing'. Hit the dropdown to see more options:
I want mine to fire up my own slicer (Orca) so selected 'Print Utility' (which I'd previously pointed to Orca).
Next time I select '3D Print', it goes straight to the old dialog that I was used to:
If you just want to export an STL, select 'Export'
If you want to use Fusion's slicer, select 'Manufacturing'
Choice is remembered for next time, so you would just need to hit 'OK'
