How best to re-roof this

the roof sheet valley looks like this the red being th top of the roof sheet and lowest point of it

the grey is the lead or tin sheet underneath to create the wrap around seal you need for the corner

the valley sits on top of the roof box profile high point at one end drawn in black you will have to pack the wall side up to level that side
the valley is then bent over at the end so you can seal it over the high point of the box profile roofing sheet

the higher red is your box profile roofing sitting over the other roof profile so it seals over it at the corner

but your looking across your view of the roof

the red lines underneath the black valley is your roof pitch which needs to go underneath your box valley

the 2nd line up is the top line of your metal box profile on the roof

the black valley must sit on top of your box profile roofing otherwise you would have to create a valley down the side of the wall for the water to run off somewhere

That's just it the box gutter can't flow up hill can it or the water will not run away. The only way I can see it working is to take the box gutter around the corner and into the gutter

Or do what I suggested before and have a outlet under the box gutter about center discharging into the old down pipe below

the gulley works by allowing the water to flow out at one end

you gain this by packing the gulley high enough so its supported near the wall and across its flat

the part that goes up the roof is there to stop blowback of the water during windy conditions

im telling you the lead gulley valley way tried and tested method

tin metal roof is just the same but instead you use more sealant or silicone to seal edges

that means the new roof after the box gutter needs to be lower in order for this to work.

no just the house section needs to be a little higher to fit in the gully the roof away from that corner piece can be all flat and can be fitted straight away before your gully arrives on wednesday

the gulley method is there to protect what you wanted

whilst the gulley method maybe not the easiest to fit its better than just a gutter stuck up against the house

I still don't see how that Is possible to fit this box gutter then. The dimensions are 300mm wide by 80mm deep. The only way I see this working is by have the 90 degree bend on it around the corner so it discharges into the gutter

you choose that valley size which we did say you didnt need 6-8" would have been more than ample to use

fit the long length against the wall as its a splash back thats sat on a 2" packing piece of wood

simple way fit a latte at the back of the valley gully

fit the gulley into place flatten the metal over the latte and theres your valley gulley with an 1" rise so dirt or muck dosnt block the valley gully

( note its unknown on the correct size that you would need due to the slope of your roof so would need adjusting so its level from the corner edge ( roof side ) to the wall edge )

A lot of water runs off of these 3 roofs. Soon to be one.
I am good with fitting the gulley now but i will need to cut it and bend/weld or seal it to get the corner. Or have it discharge the other end

just remember if fitting a downpipe you will have to go across the roof to clean it out from time to time

a valley expelling onto the roof dosnt suffer from this as much

though with enough water and slope the valley can keep itself clean all on its own

Perfect I will butcher the box valley when I get it then and exit it into the gutter off of the garage roof. I should really be harvesting this water for the irrigation system. Water meter is expensive
