How best to re-roof this

im just watching as you have all the info that you need to get on with it and get it finished

though i think you might have caused yourself an issue as your meant to fold over onto your 4x2 and i think you have welded all of the corners to the top

I had not planned on folding the gutter over the 4x2, the roof will over hang the gutter by 100mm

i think the idea is when water spashes it goes every where so a run up the wood means if any water splashes up there it will just drip back down to the tray

I get that yes. I thought a 100mm slanted overhang into the tray would be sufficiant to stop any splashes up to the 4x2, If needed I could drape over the 4x2 and gutter but I dont think it will be nesessary. happy to be proven wrong before I fix it all down though

you forget blowback from the wind hence the reason for a little up under the sheet

oh there is a 80mm vertical rise up to the sheet, then the sheet overhangs the box gutter also by 100mm

Had to weld the 2 lengths of gutter before fitting today. Gutter is in and painted. Hopefully get the roof all fixed down tomorrow and some trim on.

Chasing the lead into the render/dash not sure about the window angled section I will try for real lead. Might have to flash band the soil pipe

if you chase the window out as a slope the window area will look funny

also to note here if you have a multi tool it will blunt the blade but it will chase out a line for you close enough to the soil pipe depending on your depth of cement you have

my suggestion is to chase it out like a chimney bricking so when you lead it all it wont look funny and you should get a better seal against the window

good shout on the multi tool idea that will get behind the slack pipe easier.
I like the lead idea too that will be better over the window, the window covering is only rendered cement board so not that thick to chase into.

50mm is enough with lead all depends on your slope and your overlap allowance

same when doing a chimney you overlap enough

your also close enough to do a long view photo of the garage roof to show others how it looks before you fit the lead

it will also show how nicer it looks when you have soil stacks through it using the L shaped piece up the wall

as its main purpose is a water seal over the roofing material keeping the water out of the lower roof profile flicking the majoraty of rain water into another lower roof profile
