Will I be ok grinding my own as a virgin
Slow down Lee, just get a couple of basic tools and some tips and make some chips, it will be a while before the likes of tip radius makes any difference.just looking through RDG tools do you guys use different tips for stainless, ali and mild steel?
So this tipped set will suffice for nowThese are the blanks to grind your own

The ones linked on the earlier page are a tad small Id go for 10 mm
Tipped

If buying tipped tools select a tip design and try to stick to one or two, saved having to carry loads of spare tip.
Yes I would say so, but opinions are like noses we all have one.
There are other options too

well the tools came today they dont look like much for what they cost!
ha ha the tips look even worse! lolHear that. My set cost twice that but still no regrets mate.
2 of your tools utilise the unused 2 corners so don't bin them when both sides are blunt on your main tools.ha ha the tips look even worse! lol
