Tell a lie.thanks mate
Tell a lie.
Bought it from the nipple shop.
https://shop.hle.co.uk/shop/grease-equipment/grease-equipment/grease-guns/grease-push-guns.html
Sure mine came with more than two ends.
Says conical and push on. Have used it on my mills ball oilers and gets oil in.
My lathe has ball oilers with a conical shoulder the other adapter works well for.
https://www.lathespares.co.uk/oil-gun-myford-lathe-1 it says this is not suitable for the ball bearing type
Just been out for a test.thanks not sure about that
Just been out for a test.
Conical tip fits inside the ball oiler and compresses the ball enough to push oil in and seals well. Next to no mess.
The inside of the tips has a ball oiler which opens with the guns pressure.
Can't see any reason why it wouldn't do the job for you and it's cheap.
It's also telescopic. Big one extends to 300mm for awkward access.
what 34 quid for a oiler
Welcome to the world of tooling.
This is the one to have, half the cost twice the quality:

Quick addendum, this is the same as the one from the nipple shop
I have the same one, as a oil gun it's great...still leaks though.
Just leave mine in the chip tray out of the way of swarf. There's enough oil over that I don't notice. They all leak, given time. I just pretend mine doesn't.
